Find out why your approved app isn't live

The store approved your app, but people still can’t install it. Approval and release can be separate steps. We’d check whether the store is waiting for you to publish, then check where the release is available.

Keep the exact status, approved version, release option, selected countries, and the account you used to check availability handy. Open the listing’s direct link as well as searching for the app’s name.

If Apple approved the app

• Pending Developer Release: for a manual release, open the version, choose Release This Version, and confirm.
• Check any “no earlier than” date you selected. The approved version may be waiting for that date.
• Look at every item in the submission. Another unresolved item can hold it up.
• Check relevant agreements and country availability. Apple’s current distributed status is Ready for Distribution; older guides may call it Ready for Sale.

Apple says availability can take up to 24 hours after release. That isn’t a promise about when the app will appear in search.

If Google approved the changes

If Play Console says Changes ready to publish, check managed publishing. Complete the final publishing action if it’s holding the changes.

Also check the track: a release to internal or closed testing doesn’t make the app available to the public. You need a production release.

Check the listing as a public user

The release is available when the intended user can open its listing and install the approved version in a selected country.

If that still doesn’t work, compare the direct listing URL, track, account region, device compatibility, and version. Search results alone won’t tell you whether the app is available. Allow time for the store to make the release available; if an unexpected status lasts beyond its stated processing window, contact support with the app identifier, version, status, and release time.
