App Store 2.5.15 rejection: Files and iCloud document access

This guide is for iPhone and iPad apps offering file selection while omitting Files or the user's iCloud documents.
Your custom picker may show your own storage but leave out documents people keep on the device or in iCloud. Guideline 2.5.15 says apps that let users view and select files should include those sources.
Test the selection route
Start from the app’s import or attachment button. Can a person choose an appropriate file from Files and iCloud documents? We’d try a file outside the app’s own folder, using a test device with iCloud configured.
Use the supported document experience
Have your developer integrate the appropriate system document picker or repair the existing integration. Keep any genuine file-type limits clear. A link telling users to move everything into your storage first doesn’t demonstrate access to the required sources.
Test local and iCloud documents, cancellation, and a file that hasn’t downloaded yet. Check that the selected document reaches the intended feature. Tell Apple where the picker appears and which build contains the corrected integration.
