App Store 3.1.5 rejection: Cryptocurrency services

This guide is for iPhone and iPad apps providing cryptocurrency wallets, mining, exchanges, financial offerings, or task-based rewards.
A crypto rejection can concern who operates the service, where it’s licensed, or what the phone does. Apple’s 3.1.5 has separate conditions for each. We’d identify the cited clause and the actual service before changing the listing.
3.1.5(i): wallets
Wallet apps must come from developers enrolled as an organization. Check the submitting account and the entity operating the wallet.
3.1.5(ii): mining
Mining is only permitted when processing happens off the device. Verify what the installed app and its libraries execute; a cloud-mining description doesn’t establish off-device processing.
3.1.5(iii): exchanges
Exchange transactions need an approved exchange and appropriate licensing and permissions in every location where the service is offered. Match distribution and in-app availability to that coverage.
3.1.5(iv): crypto financial offerings
ICOs, cryptocurrency futures, and related securities-style trading must come from the specified established or approved financial institutions and comply with applicable law. Involve qualified compliance advice for your offering.
3.1.5(v): task rewards
Remove cryptocurrency rewards for tasks such as downloading other apps, recruiting downloads, or posting to social networks.
Verify the affected service
Test supported and unsupported locations, account eligibility, and the corrected reward or processing behavior. Provide Apple the responsible organization, required documentation, and precise review route. These conditions don’t replace the separate rules for digital purchases or NFTs.
