App Store 4.7.5 rejection: Age restrictions for hosted software

This guide is for iPhone and iPad apps hosting software whose content can exceed the host app's age rating.
A single age rating for the host doesn’t settle access to every item inside it. Under 4.7.5, users need to identify software exceeding that rating, and underage access must be restricted using declared or verified age.
Test discovery and entry separately
Check the catalog labels, direct links, search, and saved items. We’d try opening a restricted item through its universal link as well as the main menu. A hidden card isn’t an access restriction if a direct link still opens it.
Enforce the restriction
Label the relevant software and make the age-based restriction operate wherever an item is opened. Confirm that the age information used by the app is obtained through the supported process you describe.
Test with fictional accounts representing the allowed and restricted age groups. Verify that account changes and direct navigation don’t bypass the restriction. Give Apple the item’s label, the age-control flow, and review instructions. Avoid using real children’s information as evidence.
