Google Play app Promotion policy: fixes and checks

This guide is for Apps promoted through ads, affiliates, messages, or installation campaigns.
Your app can violate the App Promotion policy because of how someone else advertises it. Google holds you responsible for networks and affiliates that promote your app through deceptive or harmful practices.
What to check
Review campaign creatives, landing pages, redirects, and affiliate traffic sources. Watch for fake system alerts, explicit sexual promotion, unsolicited SMS, and downloads or store redirects without an informed user action.
Inspect the app title, icon, and developer name too. Promotional pricing, ranking claims, and suggestions of participation in a Google Play program are restricted in these elements.
How to address the rejection
Stop the offending campaign and remove misleading creative or redirection behavior. Give affiliates clear requirements and verify their actual placements before restarting traffic.
Keep the campaign identifiers and screenshots needed to explain the fix. A clean store listing doesn’t answer a notice about an external advertisement. Your response should identify the promotion, who controlled it, and what now prevents that tactic from sending users to your app.
