Google Play cryptomining policy: fixes and checks

This guide is for Google Play apps mining cryptocurrency or managing mining performed elsewhere.
Google Play prohibits cryptocurrency mining on the device. It permits apps that remotely manage mining, so the key question is where the work actually runs.
Inspect the process
Check the app, bundled libraries, web views, and background tasks for mining code. We’d measure the device’s activity while using the feature and after leaving it. A remote dashboard shouldn’t quietly perform mining as well.
Remove on-device mining
Remove the prohibited processing and any dependency responsible for it. If the app only manages remote equipment, describe the architecture and make the controls’ purpose clear in the listing.
Test the corrected binary and verify that the phone sends management requests rather than executing mining work. Give Google the changed component and a safe demonstration of the remote flow. Calling the process a reward or allowing users to opt in doesn’t create an on-device exception.
