Google Play daily fantasy sports policy: fixes and checks

A sports app becomes a different review case when users pay to enter fantasy contests. Google’s DFS policy requires acceptance through its application process and compliance with the relevant location-specific rules.

Check the market and licenses

For US distribution, inspect each state and territory where use is allowed and any license required there. Non-US distribution must qualify through the gambling-app requirements. We’d compare the app’s actual access controls with its approved footprint.

Verify the required setup

Prevent underage monetary participation and use from prohibited or unlicensed locations. The app must be free to download, avoid Google Play billing for these transactions, carry the required adult rating, and display responsible-gambling information in the app and listing.

Test eligible and excluded accounts/locations with a safe transaction environment. Supply the application approval, relevant licenses, and reproducible review instructions. A general sports category or fantasy label doesn’t establish eligibility for paid contests.
