Google Play encouraging copyright infringement policy: fixes and checks

This guide is for Google Play apps whose features or marketing encourage unauthorized copying, streaming, or downloading.
Your app doesn’t have to ship a copyrighted file to create a problem. Google also prohibits features and promotion that encourage copyright infringement.
Follow the advertised use
Review download tools, source suggestions, screenshots, and search prompts. We’d compare the app’s intended lawful uses with what the listing actually invites people to do. “Paste any video URL” can describe a wider capability than you have rights to support.
Remove the infringing encouragement
Remove unauthorized source support and misleading promotional examples. Use content you can lawfully demonstrate and make the allowed functionality accurate. If a feature has both lawful and unlawful uses, obtain qualified advice about the actual design and promotion.
Test supported sources and rejected routes, including sharing and browser entry points. Give Google the capability or marketing changed and any relevant authorization. A generic user-responsibility disclaimer won’t alter the app’s advertised purpose.
