Google Play Health Connect notice and control policy: fixes and checks

The system permission screen doesn’t explain everything your service does after reading a health record. Google requires clear disclosures covering the requesting app, data types, purposes, sharing, security, and user controls.

Compare the explanation with the flow

Check every requested data type against a visible feature or recommendation. Include secondary uses rather than describing only the first one. We’d follow deletion and account deactivation through the backend to see what the help text needs to explain.

Make control instructions usable

Provide accessible privacy and help information explaining how users manage and delete data and what happens when an account is deactivated or deleted. Describe secure handling, including transmission protection, accurately.

Test revoking access and the documented deletion routes with fictional records. Give Google the corrected notices and steps to verify the actual result. Editing the help page alone won’t fix retention behavior that contradicts it.
