Google Play nFT gamification policy: fixes and checks

This guide is for Google Play games or apps using NFTs in purchases, randomized rewards, or staking.
Selling a chance to receive an NFT can bring gambling rules into the review. Outside qualifying gambling arrangements or applicable pilots, Google prohibits taking monetary value for a chance at an NFT of unknown value and using NFTs as stakes for valuable prizes.
Trace the stake and reward
Inspect bundles, loot-style purchases, entry fees, conversions, and prize redemption. We’d write down what the user knows about the specific contents and value before paying. The policy’s examples include undisclosed NFT bundles and paid casino-style games awarding NFTs.
Remove the prohibited mechanic
Redesign purchases and gameplay to meet the applicable rules. Purchased NFTs should be used or consumed to support the game experience, subject to the policy’s conditions. Approved gambling products have their own application requirements.
Test every purchase and reward path with safe assets. Give Google the value flow, corrected mechanic, and any actual program approval. Renaming a stake as a collectible doesn’t change the transaction.
