Google Play other real-money games and contests policy: fixes and checks

This guide is for Google Play apps accepting money or purchased items for chances to receive prizes with real-world monetary value.
A competition can fall under this rule even if its currency is called points. Outside Google’s eligible gambling arrangements, applicable pilots, and qualifying loyalty programs, apps can’t take real-world value for participation that can yield a valuable prize.
Trace entry and redemption
Check entry fees, purchased items, deposits, winnings, physical prizes, and external signup links. We’d follow conversions between balances, since a paid currency can become a stake through another screen.
Remove the prohibited mechanic
If the model doesn’t qualify for an allowed arrangement, remove the paid-entry or staking route and reassess the resulting product. A separate checkout or a different word for the prize doesn’t change its value.
Test all entry points, including web views and deep links. Give Google a clear explanation of the value flow and the feature removed. If relying on an exception, provide the specific approval or the evidence that every condition is met.
