Find a missing Apple build or clear Missing Compliance

You’ve uploaded the build, but you still can’t select it. Apple needs to process a successful upload before it’s ready to use. Missing Compliance means there are export-compliance questions to answer; that status alone doesn’t mean the upload failed.

Find the build you uploaded

Have the upload time, app version, build number, bundle ID, and processing email handy. Check that you’re looking at the Apple team and app record that received the upload.

Start with the upload tool. If it reported a signing or transfer error, fix that first. If it reported success, look for the processing status in App Store Connect. Apple sends an email when processing finishes; give that step time before expecting the build to appear.

If processing failed, read the email or issue details. Fix the SDK, privacy, packaging, or binary problem it names, then upload a new build.

Clear Missing Compliance

1. Open the export-compliance questions for the build marked Missing Compliance.
2. Answer based on the encryption your app and its dependencies actually use. Include HTTPS and operating-system encryption when working out the correct answer.
3. Supply any documentation the questionnaire requires. If your use qualifies for an exemption, ask the developer to configure the matching build declaration accurately.
4. When processing and compliance are complete, select the build for TestFlight or your App Store version.

If the build is still missing

Leave an upload that’s still processing alone; uploading the same build again won’t resolve an unexplained delay. Contact Apple with the identifiers and upload time if the delay continues.

If the build appears under another version, compare the version and bundle ID inside the build with the app record you’re viewing. You can move on once the correct build is processed, its compliance questions are resolved, and it’s available to select.
