Understand public contact details and EU trader status

You’re entering account details and wondering which ones people will see. We recommend checking before launch. Your developer account type and EU trader status are separate decisions, so a personal account doesn’t automatically make you a non-trader.

Confirm the legal publisher, distribution countries, and contact channels the publisher can keep working.

Review the public developer details

Apple displays the person’s legal name for individual enrollment. Organization enrollment represents the legal entity.

Google personal accounts display the legal name, country, and developer email. Monetization can require the full address to be displayed. Organization accounts show additional contact information, and regional rules may require more.

Complete Apple’s EU trader declaration

Apple requires a trader-status declaration even if you don’t distribute in the EU. The Account Holder or an Admin should open the compliance area under Business and Agreements in App Store Connect.

If you’re a trader distributing in the EU, provide and verify the required public address, phone number, and email. Check the status for each app.

Apple’s trader-contact instructions allow individual traders to use an address or PO box. This is a different rule from Apple’s enrollment-address requirement. Organizations use the address associated with their D‑U‑N‑S record.

Check the result and resolve mismatches

Confirm that the declarations are complete, verification has passed where required, and the displayed details are accurate and usable by customers.

If an organization’s address is wrong, correct the underlying identity record before expecting the storefront to change.

If you’re unsure whether you’re a trader, use the official criteria and get qualified advice about your situation. Choose the status that applies, rather than choosing one solely to keep an address private.
