Google Play prescription drugs policy: fixes and checks

This guide is for Google Play apps enabling the purchase or sale of prescription medication.
A prescription-drug order can’t bypass the prescription requirement. Google prohibits apps that enable buying or selling prescription drugs without a prescription.
Follow the order to fulfillment
Check search, cart, repeat orders, seller messaging, and external checkout. At what point is a valid prescription required and checked? We’d inspect the actual fulfillment process, not just a checkbox asking the buyer to confirm eligibility.
Correct the purchase route
Remove any route that allows the prohibited sale or implement the required prescription process with qualified providers. Check the broader health policy and local pharmacy obligations with appropriate professional advice.
Use test orders that won’t dispense real medication to verify the restriction. Give Google the provider relationship and safe steps demonstrating the prescription requirement. Keep patient records and prescription details out of public screenshots and general review notes.
