Google Play sexual content and profanity policy: fixes and checks

An adult rating doesn’t automatically permit sexual content on Google Play. This policy prohibits pornography, sexually gratifying services, predatory behavior, and nonconsensual sexual material, among other content. It also covers the listing’s language and images.

Check the purpose and presentation

Inspect profiles, generated images, chats, ads, and purchase offers. We’d review discovery and recommendations as well as content reached by search. Google’s exceptions for non-gratuitous educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic nudity depend on real context.

The policy also sets narrow conditions for broader book/video catalogs: sexual titles must be a minor share, must not be actively promoted outside the stated allowances, must exclude prohibited material, and must be restricted from minors. Regional availability can differ.

Correct the content and controls

Remove prohibited features and material. For incidental sexual UGC, follow that policy’s separate conditions.

Test recommendations, uploads, and age restrictions with safe samples. Give Google the change and any specific exception you rely on. Calling a generated undressing feature a prank doesn’t make it acceptable.
