Google Play inappropriate content policy: fixes and checks

“Inappropriate content” covers several distinct rules. Google’s notice may refer to sexual content, hate, violence, dangerous products, or another specific category. We’d identify the actual content and subpolicy before making a broad age-rating change.

Find the reported material

Check the app, listing, ads, user uploads, and remotely supplied content. Reproduce the route with a test account. A clean first screen doesn’t establish that the rest of the service meets the policy.

Use the specific policy below

Remove prohibited material or change the feature that supplies it. Where Google provides a contextual exception, explain the actual educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic purpose and satisfy its conditions. An age gate isn’t a general exception.

Test how new content is admitted and reported so the same issue doesn’t simply return. Give Google the affected location, the change made, and the steps to verify the correction. Keep screenshots free of real personal information and unnecessary harmful material.
