Google Play account deletion policy: fixes and checks

This guide is for Google Play apps enabling account creation within the app, subject to the detailed policy's applicability and exceptions.
Deleting the app isn’t deleting the account. Google requires covered apps to provide a discoverable way to request deletion both inside the app and through an external web resource, with that URL entered in Play Console.
Follow the request through to the data
Use a test account with sample records. Can someone initiate deletion in-app and after uninstalling? Does the process delete associated data rather than freeze or disable the account? We’d inspect the stored result as well as the success message.
Explain legitimate retention
If security, fraud-prevention, or regulatory reasons require keeping particular information, disclose what is retained and why. Don’t describe a retained, active account as deleted.
Use the deletion web-page guide to build the external route. Test both routes, necessary identity checks, and the actual completion process. Give Google the saved URL, in-app location, and safe evidence of deletion. Keep real account data out of your review reply.
