Google Play User Data policy: fixes and checks

Your privacy policy and your app need to tell the same story. Google’s User Data policy requires transparency about access, collection, use, and sharing, and limits handling to disclosed, permitted purposes.

Follow the data beyond your own code

List what leaves the device, its recipients, and what each recipient does with it. Include SDKs and third-party AI. We’d inspect actual requests with fictional test data, because a vendor’s general description may not match your configuration.

Find the specific requirement

The pages below cover sensitive data, prominent disclosure and consent, Data safety, privacy policies, deletion, and identifiers. Correct unnecessary collection or sharing as well as inaccurate text. A policy document doesn’t stop a library from sending data before consent.

Test consent, refusal, and any deletion or withdrawal route. Give Google the corrected data flow and matching declarations. Apply relevant privacy laws with qualified advice where needed; store-policy compliance doesn’t replace those obligations.
